Prepare these details

  • Confirm the document name, property address, creator, and modified date
  • Know whether content, ownership, or package type must change
  • Ask the owner before transferring or permanently deleting shared work

Show where a successfully created document appears and which action continues work.
The created document and its next action are visible.

    Locate the document

    Documents

    Use one filter or search term to find the intended row.

    Expected result: The matching document remains visible.

    If this does not happen: Clear filters and search by a distinctive part of the address if no result appears.

    Open the action menu

    Documents > document row

    Select the row action menu.

    Expected result: Only actions currently available to your role are displayed.

    If this does not happen: If an expected action is absent, verify ownership or ask a team administrator.

    Expected result: A confirmation or configuration dialog opens.

    If this does not happen: Cancel the dialog and use the action-reference table if the result description is not what you intend.

    Expected result: The dialog names the exact destination.

    If this does not happen: Return to the list and verify the correct document if the target information is unexpected.

    If this does not happen: Do not repeat the action while it is processing; refresh the list before retrying.

Verify before you finish

  • The intended document changed
  • Any new copy has a distinct identity
  • Ownership and collaborators are correct
  • A trashed item appears in Trash

Troubleshooting and next steps

Show a real creation or recovery failure with the message the user must interpret.

Show the recovered document state after the corrective action succeeds.
The document is restored or available for continued work.
An action is unavailable.

Likely cause: The document, role, package, or plan does not permit it.

  1. Confirm who owns the document.
  2. Ask an Admin to perform or authorize the action.
A document was moved to Trash by mistake.

Likely cause: The delete confirmation was accepted.

  1. Open Documents > Trash within 30 days.
  2. Select Restore for the correct item.

Final verification

  • Documents > document row: Only actions currently available to your role are displayed.
  • Document action menu: A confirmation or configuration dialog opens.
  • Action dialog: The dialog names the exact destination.
  • Action dialog: CREBuilder reports completion and refreshes the document list.
  • No blocking warning, failed status, or unresolved validation message remains in the completed workflow.
