Before you start
Data, sources, and access to prepare
- A signed-in CREBuilder account
- An active subscription for paid sending controls
- Authorized sender and domain information
- Permission to connect the intended personal social account
Prepare these details
- Confirm the sender identity used for campaigns
- Decide whether the optional sending domain is needed
- Prepare a concise compliant signature
- Confirm ownership of the social account
- Use only controls visible in the current production page
Complete the task
- 1
Open Email & sending
Settings
Select Email & sending.
Expected result: Sending status, the setup checklist, domain setup, and signature controls appear.
If this does not happen: Review the paid-feature notice if sending controls are unavailable.
- 2
Read the sending status
Email & sending > Sending status
Review the CREBuilder Mail status card.
Expected result: You understand whether the account is ready to send or needs a listed setup action.
If this does not happen: Follow the exact status message instead of an older integration screenshot.
- 3
Review the setup checklist
Email & sending > Sending status
Read each incomplete checklist item.
Expected result: The remaining sender setup work is identified.
If this does not happen: Refresh once if a just-completed item still appears incomplete.
- 4
Open domain setup
Email & sending > Sending domain
Expand the sending-domain control when custom authentication is needed.
Expected result: The current domain instructions and verification state appear.
If this does not happen: Use the dedicated domain-authentication guide if DNS access or records are unclear.
- 5
Review earlier connections
Email & sending > Earlier email connections
Expand the history only when that section appears.
Expected result: Retired or unavailable provider records are visible as historical context.
If this does not happen: Contact support instead of attempting to recreate a withdrawn integration.
- 6
Edit the email signature
Email & sending > Email signature
Enter the approved campaign signature.
Expected result: The signature preview reflects the intended sender identity.
If this does not happen: Remove unsupported or excessive formatting if the preview is distorted.
- 7
Save the email signature
Email signature card
Select the signature save action once.
Expected result: CREBuilder confirms the stored signature.
If this does not happen: Wait for the save to finish before retrying.
- 8
Open Social accounts
Settings
Select Social accounts.
Expected result: The currently available account cards appear.
If this does not happen: A missing card can mean the production feature is not enabled for this account.
- 9
Inspect the provider state
Social accounts > intended provider card
Read the Connected or Coming soon label.
Expected result: You know whether the provider can be used now.
If this does not happen: Do not treat Coming soon as a working publishing control.
- 10
Connect the supported account
Social provider card
Select Connect when the enabled provider and subscription permit it.
Expected result: The provider authorization page opens.
If this does not happen: Return without approving if the provider identity is not the intended one.
- 11
Approve the provider authorization
Provider authorization page
Authorize the intended account.
Expected result: CREBuilder returns to Settings with a Connected confirmation.
If this does not happen: Retry from the provider card after resolving any displayed OAuth error.
- 12
Disconnect an obsolete account
Connected social provider card
Select Disconnect when that connection should no longer be used.
Expected result: The card no longer reports the obsolete active connection.
If this does not happen: Reconnect the correct account if the wrong connection was removed.
- 13
Verify in the destination workflow
Email Blasts or supported listing-post workflow
Open one preview without publishing.
Expected result: The expected signature or connected identity appears in context.
If this does not happen: Return to Settings before sending or publishing if the identity is wrong.
Availability and ownership reference
| Control | What it manages | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| CREBuilder Mail status | Current sender readiness | Follow the live status and checklist |
| Sending domain | Optional authenticated domain setup | DNS verification can take time and needs authorized access |
| Email signature | Reusable supported campaign signature | Verify it in a campaign preview |
| Earlier email connections | Historical provider records | Not an invitation to reconnect a withdrawn service |
| LinkedIn card | Personal social connection when production-enabled | Can be hidden by current feature availability |
| Instagram card | Planned integration status | Coming soon is not a publishing workflow |
Connections are user-specific
The Social page states that connections apply only to the signed-in user account. Confirm the provider identity before authorizing it.
Verify before you finish
- Sending status was read from the live page
- Incomplete setup items have owners
- The saved signature is correct in preview
- No retired provider was treated as available
- Only a visible supported social provider was connected
- The connected identity is correct
Troubleshooting and next steps
Email sending remains unavailable.
Likely cause: The subscription, mail access status, checklist, or domain state may not be complete.
- Read the paid-feature notice and status card.
- Complete the listed setup item.
- Use the detailed email setup guide for the sender workflow.
A former email provider appears under Earlier email connections.
Likely cause: The record is retained as historical disclosure after the option was retired or withdrawn.
- Do not attempt to use it for sending.
- Contact support if the record appears incorrect.
LinkedIn is not visible.
Likely cause: The production feature flag may be disabled for the account.
- Use only currently visible controls.
- Do not follow hidden or internal connection instructions.
Instagram cannot be connected.
Likely cause: The card is marked Coming soon.
- Do not attempt an unsupported connection.
- Return when the production card offers an enabled Connect action.
Final verification
- Social provider card: The provider authorization page opens.
- Provider authorization page: CREBuilder returns to Settings with a Connected confirmation.
- Connected social provider card: The card no longer reports the obsolete active connection.
- Email Blasts or supported listing-post workflow: The expected signature or connected identity appears in context.
- No blocking warning, failed status, or unresolved validation message remains in the completed workflow.
